There are numerous streams, creeks and rivers that hold trophy-sized rainbow trout, brown trout and smallmouth bass. Lake Gogebic is host to some great northern pike, walleye and smallmouth bass. Other area lakes hold trophy musky and trout.

Weather for fishing can vary here too. The seasons in the Upper Peninsula can produce warm, sunny days in the early spring, hot and humid summer days, and bitter cold and icy conditions late in the fall.
