The Ranch At Huschitt's Jagd Revier
Huschitt's Jagd Revier is located in the heavily forested areas of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. These woods are full of different species of conifers, such as Balsam Firs, White Spruce and Red Pines. Other trees include Sugar & Red Maples, Quaking Aspens and White Birch.
The Upper Peninsula is also home to many different bodies of water and flowing streams and rivers. These pure and clean lakes & streams are home to many different species of fish and game.
When you think about big game hunting in the woods, you are probably envisioning what we have here at Huschitt's Jagd Revier. Our goal was a rustic wilderness setting, and the ranch provides exactly that. You will walk the same thick woods and forests that the fur trappers traversed 200 years ago.
These native forests are teaming with all kinds of wildlife and native wildflowers and plants. It is not uncommon to see moose, whitetail deer, snowshoe rabbits, elk, black bear, bobcat, porcupine and other mammals. Birds include many different songbirds including the robin, thrush, meadowlark, wren, bluebird, oriole, bobolink, and chickadee. You will see raptors including eagles, hawks and owls. Waterfowl such as geese and ducks are prevalent too.
